The Annual Royal Banquet–Honoring ShareCare's Kings and Queens

ShareCare has a long time tradition of hosting a Royal Banquet  in the fall in honor of our "Kings and Queens" who turned 90 or 100 years old during the last year. It's a wonderful social gathering, held before many of our ShareCare members head to warmer climates. This year's Royal Banquet was held at the Bluebird in Leland. Toasts were made to our Kings and Queens, certificates were presented, and good wishes were granted to our honorees. Below are some pictures from the celebration.

The Gift of Giving

After placing several notices in the Connector, with no members needing two electric wheelchairs that had been donated to ShareCare, we passed them to an organization called Alternatives in Motion. AIM is a nonprofit 501 (c)(3) corporation founded in 1995 to provide wheelchairs to people with disabilities who are uninsured. We are pleased to say that one of our donated wheelchairs was delivered to a lady in the Grand Rapids who will now be able to cruise around her neighborhood on her new set of wheels. We're delighted to get the chairs out of storage and into the hands of someone who will benefit from them.
